Time : 4+ hours (very long)
Blood Loss : Very High (500+ ml)
Post-op Pain : High (7-10)
Maintenance Paralytic : Intubating dose, then depends on the monitoring plan - residual block degrades motor evoked potentials.
Considerations : Arterial line, Central line, High Blood Loss, Fluoroscopy / Xray, MEP monitoring, SSEP monitoring, Anticoagulation / Antiplatelet Therapy, One-Lung Ventilation / Lung Isolation
