Position : Lithotomy, arms at side on armboards
Time : 5-30 min (very short)
Blood Loss : Very Low (5-10 ml)
Maintenance Paralytic : No

The Anesthesia:
Antimuscarinic - have one available or drawn up! Robinul or Atropine are the usual choices. Patients can have intense vagal episodes which causes bradycardia. In some instances, time to retrieve the drug will be minimal if bradycardia progresses to asystole.
