This course introduces nurse anesthesiologists to the core principles of artificial intelligence and how it’s already being used to support perioperative decision-making, risk prediction, and real-time patient monitoring. You’ll explore practical, real-world applications—such as AI-driven hypotension prediction and decision-support tools—while also examining the ethical, legal, and data privacy issues that come with integrating AI into clinical care. By the end, you’ll be better equipped to critically evaluate AI tools, use them to enhance (not replace) your own judgment, and advocate for safe, patient-centered implementation in your practice.
