This course walks nurse anesthesiologists through indications, choice of technique (cricothyrotomy, tracheostomy, percutaneous approaches, and needle cricothyroidotomy), and stepwise pharmacologic management—including sedation, NMBAs, vasopressors, and reversal agents—while highlighting complication management, weaning strategies, and emerging tools like ultrasound- and video-assisted procedures to improve safety when seconds matter.
