Bleeding risk – This disease presents the risk of abnormally high bleeding due to abnormal platelet function.

Pathophysiology

This disease is acquired (not inherited) and exhibits as abnormal platelet function.

May also present as a very high platelet count

Lab findings will show defects in:
epinephrine-induced aggregation
dense granule function
alpha granule function
