Position : Supine, head slightly extended, arms tucked
Time : 2-4 hours (long)
Blood Loss : Moderate (50 - 200 ml)
Post-op Pain : Moderate (4-6)
Maintenance Paralytic : None while spontaneous ventilation is needed for endoscopy; a relaxant is reasonable once the airway is secured for the open phase.
Considerations : Arterial line
