Position : Left Lateral, Supine, arms free at side
Time : 30-60 min (short)
Blood Loss : Very High (500+ ml)
Post-op Pain : Moderate (4-6)
Maintenance Paralytic : Yes for the bleeding case as part of RSI; none for the elective banding session under sedation.
Considerations : Aspiration risk / Full stomach, Off-site, High Blood Loss, Arterial line, Central line
